One thing I know now, that I didn't know when I was buying my first oboe, is that not all oboes come with all the keys on them.
I know that sounds stupid, but it is true. And for someone like myself, who used to play the clarinet, it is just something that I would never have dreamed to ask. I mean, ANY clarinet comes with the standard set of keys that enables you to play all the notes the instrument can make.
That is NOT true of the oboe. Student oboes often do not have one or more of the keys that an intermediate to advanced player would need.
So what you want to look for is "full conservatory" or at the very least "modified full conservatory" (sometimes written as "conservatoire") keywork.
