I'm not sure what you've begun to play on, one assumes that you have some sort of instrument...
If you are renting, and your instrument is both affordable and in good repair, I would use that one until you reach a level capable of appreciating a finer instrument;
I have personally had good experiences buying used instruments, some of them have been better than the new professional model purchased in my student days... or maybe I was just playing better.
There are several sites where good used oboes are available: Mark Chudnow Woodwinds, Hannah's Oboes, Charles Double Reed, and usedoboes.com (although that site is minimal at present). They will all allow a trial period.
Work with your teacher to find the most appropriate oboe FOR YOU.
