I don't have any recommendations for you, but I would like you to send your request to every college in the USA. I know, that's unrealistic, but an increasing number of schools FAIL to see how maintaining a traditional music program can attract bright students of ALL majors. I teach at a university that will probably never have an orchestra or band, and I currently play oboe in an orchestra that was recently dropped from the curriculum of another local college (there were enough community members in the ensemble that it has continued as a community group). The "decreasing popularity of classical (i.e. concert) music" becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.
