I use a silk pull-through swab for the upper joint because it will compress to go through the reed well. And I've found that a good way to make sure it doesn't get stuck is to check the string for knots before I drop it in. [grin]

Sometimes if it's really wet when I bring it out, I mop off the swab itself with one of those microfiber face cloths, and then run it through again.

I use a double cotton swab for the body, also wiping it off with the microfiber face cloth and dropping it through multiple times if it seems like there's a lot of water in there. And I simply wipe out the inside of the bell with the face cloth.
