Well good for you! I see that you have gotten a lot of good advice in response to your query. I am 58 and have been playing the oboe on and off since I was in high school. Recently -- a few years ago -- I decided to take lessons again. My teacher spent the first half of the year on support, support, support. I suspect as a singer you know all about that, but I know I begin to sound really horrible if I don't have good support.
Good luck to you. Playing is a lot of fun and certainly keeps my juices flowing, and I will make a confession here ... shhhhhhh, don't tell anyone else ... I actually like making reeds. Ha!
