Howard, you don't need 'em for the Saint Saens - someone posted a great solution for that run a while ago on another thread. Interestingly, the easiest one uses conservatoire high E, high F# (3rd oct, fingers 1 and 2 on LH and fingers 1 and pinky on C on RH), then you just lift the pinky to get the G! works real well since the G just needs to sound for a tiny moment.
