I'm currently using Pisoni nickel-silver english horn staples, because they were recommended to me by the maker of my bocal, and they do seem to fit very well. However, many of the pisoni staples are really rough on the inside and can really gouge the tip of my bocal.
What I've been doing lately is rolling up a piece of 400 or 600 grit sandpaper and either using this as is, or wrapping some sandpaper around my mandrel and smoothing the inside of my staples, but I was wondering what other people do in this case.
For example, is there a Dremel tool tip that would work well for this?
BTW, I've tried some other staples but each of them has other problems:
Chudnow: Does not grip the bocal very well.
Loree: A bit too small.
Glotin: Not very consistent.
