Ashley, I have been exactly where you are, having trouble with the low notes, and wondering if there was some particular make of reed that would help with them, and after over a year of frustration and (rather expensive) experimentation, I have come to the unsurprising conclusion that...it's not the reed, it's the embouchure. There is no reed out there that will magically enable you to play the low notes easily; it's just a matter of practice, and especially embouchure development. There's a knack to playing those notes, and only long practice will teach it to you.

One thing you *can* try, though, is a softer reed, which seems to make it a bit easier to get those notes out. However, a softer reed isn't a guarantee that you'll suddenly be able to play them.

You're right, the GTG reeds do tend to be harder. Did you order Mediums? If so, you might want to try her Medium Softs.

Keep playing. It'll come. It did for me.
