While holding the C# touch down with one hand to allow the C# pad cup to open, check with your other hand that the C# pad cup has some lateral movement in it between the pillars. If it feels tight then that could be the problem, and as I already mentioned, an experienced tech that understands oboes or an oboe specialist with the correct tools can sort this out easily enough.

It does require a fair bit of dismantling to do depending if the C#/Eb cluster will only come off once the Eb pad cup has been removed beforehand, but the LH F key, the feather keys (for the LH little finger), the low Bb link, the C#/Eb cluster and the C# keys will all have to come off to gain access. But again, please take it to either an oboe specialist or a tech with plenty of understanding in dealing with the intricacies of an oboe's mechansim to have this done as they may need to do some minor regulation after assembly.
