The 330 will last you for ages before you decide to upgrade to a full Gillet conservatoire oboe - you don't really need the 'banana' key, but later on when you get into playing Baroque music the D#-E trill comes in very handy.

But that can be done on an oboe without the split D#-E plate in that you trill RH fingers 3 and 4 (on the Eb key) together. The split plate makes sure the E is in tune while the LH Eb key is held open.
