Hi there Andrew,
Well about the Bulgheroni oboes, what i have researched myself about them are the following: they are easily on a par with Loree, Rigoutat and Covey in the new instrument category. The English horns (so far), although beautifully made, seem to lack resonance and projection. This was said by Peter Hurd. you could go on his website and read more about it. plus theres some interesting stuff about other brands as well. check it out, its pretty cool
