Years ago I liked the La Voz oboe reeds as they were easy to get on with and produced a reasonable tone for a beginner.
But now I buy made reeds from an oboist who makes them to the specifications I like.
Even with bought mass produced oboe reeds (if that's really possible) they do have to be tinkered with by the player, and definitely seek advice form a teacher so you can be shown where, how and what to scrape or adjust so the reed is suitable for you.
