This is all good stuff.
Two more things I think I could add.
The first would be to emphasize NOT to adjust each note/interval with your embouchure. One way to test this is to have your teacher finger as you blow (holding the oboe keys facing downward so the teacher can hold and finger as it's facing you).
The second thing I'd like to recommend is a little book I picked up recently called "Note Groupings" by James Morgan Thurmond. It's an excellant book, and emphasizes correct phrasing by merely identifying the correct not groups, which often do not start on beat 1 and end on beat 4.
The lesson learned is making sure on "O come O Come Emmanuel" would be to emphasize the pickups, make sure your beat threes lead to beat ones (it's in 3/4 time, right? I can't remember.)
