Yes, Mike, the 'light scrape' thing works really well if you have organic build-up on the reeds. Except for black mold (see that thread), which you can't scrape away.

I use the hydrogen-peroxide treatment rarely, but it seems to help too, in restoring old or 'dead' reeds.
