Thanks for the responses. The same oboe instructor who told her the sax embouchure would interfere with her oboe embouchure also told her that her oboe embouchure was great. And her sax embouchure has always been "perfect", same for bassoon and clarinet.

The only thing I can figure is that these oboe instructors, conductors, etc. have never personally experienced being really good on two instruments. They usually have a story about how they tried dabbling on another instrument, and they assume my daughter will have a similar experience to theirs.

My concern is that as my daughter gets better on oboe (and she seems to be doing really well) she is going to encounter more resistance. I'm told the top conservatories are not going to allow her to study both oboe and sax. Or rather, the sax instructors would, but the oboe instructors won't.
