I get my tone holes water logged in about once a every 6 month's to a year mainly the C pad what I do is blow the water out as allready stated.

But the other thing is I give the oboe bore a small oil and a quick wipe down with the swab. This seams to make the water flow down the Oboe in a diffrent/correct path and i never have to look at again for 6 months or a year later.

Thats my 2 cents
