Extreme changes in temperature is just bad! I never leave my oboe in a car in the winter or the summer. It is just a disaster waiting to happen.

Many years ago - I shipped my Oboe to a repair person in the winter. It get lost in transit at the same time the temperatures dropped like a rock. Well the entire top joint crack to its core and had to be replaced by the manufacturer.
