Good suggestions, thanks.

I don't know what defines "short" exactly, but my pinky is 2 1/4" and my ring finger is 3 1/4" measured from the crook between them. I think what's happening is I'm stretching to get my little finger on the LH Eb, and pulling the ring off the vent. So strengthening both would probably help.

I'll try both ideas.
