 Low B Issues

OK -- I recently adjusted my Covey, and I have done something wrong in the lower joint that I can't figure out. I hope some of you will have an idea for me.

When I play a straight scale, everything is hunky-dory, but when I try to leap into the low B from, say, a G above it, it doesn't speak immediately -- just a little breaking of the tone and a delay. If I am very careful to get the C (or C#) closed first, it is OK, but there seems to be something that should be closing automatically that isn't.

Any ideas about what to tweak?

Susan
