Greetings J!

You hit the nail right on the head with the speed comment. I tend to be very impatient when it comes to my oboe playing (much the same as it is with my writing) and will speed up rather than try to work things out slowly then build up speed as I become more comfortable and familiar with the piece with which I am working. Big hill to climb I'm afraid.

Am trying to conquer that bad tendency. It'll take awhile, but nothing is impossible in that realm.

My appreciation for you taking the time to offer your input on my initial message. It helped.

P.S. You're right about the thread. Everyone had a lot of constructive tips to help me along and I am thankful for all of them.
