I cheat.
I keep both my LH Ab and LH Eb pressed together with my pinkie finger, and let the oboe mechanism take care of the rest. All of the LH notes just play correctly, down to Db, either with a Forked F or an E, depending on the key signature.
After a time you get used to using your LH ring-finger and pinkie as a group in these awkward keys. Works a treat.
