 Do you rotate your reeds?
Author: Jaysne

My bassoon teacher has me rotating my reeds every day: I started with five good reeds, and I use a different one each day until the sixth day, when I go back to number one and start the rotation all over again.

This seems to work well, as I have rarely had any reed issues and six months later most of these reeds still play well. I was wondering if oboe and English horn players do the same thing?
