Keep us informed regarding your decisions about making your own reed and reed adjustment. I don't know if I'm interested in making my reeds yet, but I'd like to be able to adjust my own reeds as needed.
I don't know many people here (Eugene/Springfield, OR) who would be willing to teach me, but I don't think it would be that difficult to adjust my reeds. The process would be painstakingly slow in order to prevent mistakes. Once a mistake is made on a reed, it would probably not be playable.....as I understand.
How long have you been playing A.U.K.?
