maybe try getting a refund on your shaper tip? If it's not too late I'm sure you should be able to get a refund (minus shipping costs etc.). A very good shape I've found is the Adam Shaper tips "Joshua +4" which I've been tying at 73.5 with great success. In any case, try tying on longer, maybe 73mm, with a nice tight and even wrap, and see if that works.
