Check the adjustment, see if its fairly open, say 1/2 mm or so... when holding the high d fingering. Lower of the two adjustments just above the c key adjusts it.

That is what I was told to do by Ginger, but honestly, it was balky so I closed it down to just barely open and it works like a charm.

I do not see it interfering with any other playing, so play with it...
