I would say that any change in the equation will have an effect on the sound.
In order of effect on the sound
1. musician - of course, the experience and training and musicality of the person playing the instrument is the main determining factor in how it will sound.
2. Oboe - Each different make of oboe (even of the same model) is going to have a slightly different sound. The bore of the instrument is never exactly the same twice.
3. Reed - many will disagree, but given (x) functioning reeds, an oboist will sound almost exactly the same on (x) given reeds. The difference, if any, is more audible to the player than it is to the audience. If the audience is more than 20 feet away, the difference, if any, is inaudible.
