I have a hypothetical question. Will the same student-to-high-quality reed sound different on different oboes? This leads me to another
question. How does a musician fit into the equation?
I'm assuming that different musicians will sound different with the same reed on the same oboe, and the same musician CAN sound different with the same reed on a different oboe . I'm basically referring to differences in tone among oboes, reeds, and musicians.
same reed + different oboe + same musician = different sound?
same reed + same oboe + different musician = different sound?
And another equation: different reed + same oboe + same musician=
different sound?
I know that the musician brings the embouchure, air, and experience to the equation.
I hope that I'm making sense to you all, but I'm curious as to what you fine musicians have to say about it. I also realize that some of this is rather basic.
