Yes, and clean that little bridge piece that touches the lower part of the 'a' key from the trill key mechanism on the left side of the upper joint.
It gets gunky on the cork now and then. The 'a' sticks and bad things happen.
That will mess up a to c for sure, a to b-flat, a to b... as well.
Use something to clean it off once in a while.
I don't remember why, but I was advised to use a clean dollar bill to slide between the a key extension and the cork strip on the bridge piece, press down lightly on the key and pull the dollar out.
I have seen this work under duress and even saved one pro orchestra principal player during a concert where I was assisting. Right before a big solo.
