Sheila,

I would personally pick between which ever Oboe sounds better. I use a Loree and my teacher uses a Yamaha. It also really depends on what qualities you want in your playing. The Yamaha offer a lower deepers sound as the Loree's offer a full sound but it depends on the instrument. So if I were picking out an instrument I would look between the Loree's and the Yamaha. The Yamaha's are also very fairly priced. Hope this helps you!
