1. need a reed with a good opening
2. need to have a reed that you don't have to bite on. You can play and it high and still be able to keep an open embouchure.
3. but this makes the pitch flat, right? So you have to learn to cover with your lips, but "roll in". It's easy to roll in, but rolling out is the hard part, which you need to keep corners tight so your whole lower lip doesn't fall out when you roll out.
