I know a Loree player (AK) and she has the middle joint pulled out by about 1mm to flatten both Gs.

My Yamaha 821 had flat Gs - next to A it was more than a whole tone.

No problem with my S5 though, hence the reason why I'm still playing it - so much easier to get on with than my Yamaha was.

I sold my Yamaha to a Loree player who now plays it as her main instrument!
