Sorry, I forgot to add about the interval between middle 'c' and 'd'. You need to practice "connecting" the notes with air and direction. Practice the interval alone as half-notes, to quarter-notes, to eighth-notes and so on...also increasing the tempo after you have mastered it slowly. It is a tricky interval, but with practice comes perfection!!! Some really good books to study from would be the Rubank, Barret and/or Gekler Method book. Let us know how you make out!!
