The bocal is almost more important than the horn. A great english horn can sound like a dud with a horrible bocal, and a second rate horn can sound like the most amazing horn with a great bocal. Which bocal is right for you? Well that takes some perseverance. I would start with the Hinniker bocals, they are by far, the best bocals on the market. Try the Philip Ross (son of Dan Ross the gouging machine maker) bocals, they have been getting favorable press recently. There are also Lickman or Dallas, Fox bocals and sometimes bocals from other makers-Rigoutat, Howarth, Marigaux and Patricola can have a good affect on the horn.
I wish you luck-searching for a good bocal can be as exhausting, if not more exhausting than finding a good horn.
