I have a short Video on my website that you might like to take a look at. I am rather NON-conventional as regards to reed knives.. If you do 300 or so reeds/month, you need a sharp knife, and you need to know HOW to sharpen it. I don't stress on sharpening... I just do it and it works well.. with VERY little effort. Most young players take TOO much off by continuously trying to sharpen their knives with too much pressure... Remember, the part of the knife that does the work is really only seen with a microscope.. it is that small. At any rate, here is the link to the video:
