 Instrument and reed disinfection

Hello all.

I've had a bout of stomach flu. I was wondering if anyone else feels the need to disinfect after a cold/flu. I think us oboists are pretty meticulous already but maybe there is more.

I was going to wipe the keys with rubbing alcohol, wash and air dry my swab, and sterilize my reeds. Should I do anything else? I know I can't get them all, but that flu was not nice.

Should I let my case air out? I clean the case every now and then - vacuum, wipe out, etc.

I always swab really well, but realize that my swab goes back in the case and basically festers. What do you others do? Perhaps keep a second swab and rotate? Right now would be a good time to wash swabs, as it's 12% humidity in my house. Anyway...
