I have recently been diagnosed with RSI in my wrist and told to beware of tendonitis etc which could take longer to heal and require surgery if I don't watch out. I know that this is a common complaint among musicians in general but I'd be interested to hear people's experiences (recovery times, did you take anything for it, have you had it since, did you see a specialist (my doctor wasn't even aware what an oboe was)). I'm only 18 and don't want it to be a regularly recurring problem as I'm going to Conservatoire next year and as I regularly play a lot of cor anglais and would like to continue professionally this way. Please help!
