I am having trouble finding a position to hold the reed while scraping (I tend to angle it to the right). I use a little extension make of two staples (can post a picture of necessary) and I'm experimenting scraping without it.
How do you hold your reed while scraping?
Also I'm wondering your opinion of posting notifications of blog posts here with a link. I know another oboist who does a similar thing on facebook. (for those interested I have updated my blog: http://oboeadventures.tumblr.com/ )
Third and final thought: Beethoven's 5th is amazing! I never knew how complex it was and now I can't stop listening to it.
(I'm really exhausted and just waiting for it to be 9 because going to bed at 8:15 doesn't seem right so sorry for the random change in subject)
