Thanks again,
One more question if you do not mind.
On low brass instruments you play multiple notes on one posistion, key. I have noticed that playing with the reed alone I can make 2 tones (amoung making it sharp (easy) and flat (harder)). If I loosen my lips the lower tone comes out, sort of like the first and second octive. I also seem to not have a problem controling the loudness of the sound (dynamics) by controling the air, but only on the higher pitch.
The discomfort is actually not coming from the cheek but inside the mouth, like behind my molars. If it probably the posistion of my lower jaw, when I roll my bottom lip up it tenses some muscle in the back of my mouth and after playing right now for 10 or so minutes it starts getting tired from being in the posistion.
Of course it is probably just an embechure issue, resolved when I start taking lessons!
Thanks again.
