 Re: Reed knives...A cheaper alternative?

I have a Landwell, several Vitry's, a Glotin, a Rigotti, and a Philadelphia. (I've had a lot of friends quit.) The best of the bunch for me would be the Philly. It is easiest to sharpen (I've used several kinds of stones) and keeps its edge the best. The Landwell just wasn't worth the money. If you can find one for $20, sure. But the Philly is the best. I found one at Charles Double Reed for $48, well worth it.
