Thanks Howard!
The sound quality is mostly due to the recording layout! My 1st recording was done on another reed that had a tad more buzz, but essentially the same sound.
The reed I used was slightly unstable, but I used it anyway for the sound quality. It on an RDG #2 shaper and fully 72mm long. I ran out of Kunibert Michel shaped reeds: they were excellent but I used them too much! I hope I'll have time to make some before next recording. The lower pitch (and sometimes a little higher at the end of notes) is mostly due to fatigue... like I said: I recorded these with no warm up.
=> I hope that by challenging myself to frequent recordings, I will increase the speed of getting back in shape by forcing myself to better quality, faster. I don't pretend to be able to match a young pro.'s quality anymore, but at least show what can be done on "spare time" after such a leave of absence.
But everyone's criticisms are VERY welcome because they show me what people are hearing and what I should pay more attention to.
