I'd say if it plays at all at that price it's a good deal! But if you are unsure of your ability to test the horn, call your local college or orchestra and see if the oboe teacher could test it for you (like an onsite lesson). Then you might consider a couple of brush-up coaching sessions just to get you going with some good reeds and make sure the instrument is functioning properly. Good luck!
