Hi Drew,

Your right, I live in the Netherlands, actually at reasonably easy distance to Paris. I'm halfway considering to go there to buy an oboe, once I've decided on the brand.

It's just 6 hours by car or 5 by train or less than 2 by plane. An airlineticket costs only 140 Dollars, orso if you buy at the right time.
London is an option should the choice fall on Howarth, that's also less than 2 hrs of flight.

The prices that Buffet USA charges sound like a complete rip-off to me. The oboe workshop I rented my Marigaux from said that the keys cost next to nothing. For a revision of an oboe those are almost neglicable (sp?) compared to the cost of labor.

Your recordings all sound very nice indeed, I especially like the piece called Reunion. The Greenline sound great. A pity though that you can't make a comparison to the Altu, but ofcourse 7 years is quite a stretch to remember much of it.
