That is so true James
Only speaking for myself i have owned five new Loree, four Fossati, one rigoutat and one Marigaux with all their own charmes and yet at this moment I stick with two Loree oboes from the E series.(1978)
One I owned for long time and very recently Werner Herbers sold me his instrument that he played from 1978 till 2002 and made a lot of great recordings on.
This oboe is still in great shape and I enjoy playing it very much.
By the way I like your english horn playing very much(also on the movie recording) and wish you a lot of wisdom and luck with your new instrument.
Cheers Mark
