this disrespectful derision requires rebuttal, you may certainly choose to disagree, but using abusive language in shouting caps to do so is unacceptable
after my experience with the complexity of making american scrape reeds, yes, there is definitely is an interaction of numerous factors, but those complexities of themselves do not over-ride or negate simple principles of cutting reeds
being able to identify those simple principles from the numerous selections of interacting and adjustable factors is one of the biggest mental challenges facing every reed-maker
aspiring reedmakers will always ruin much cane anyway, it's part of the learning curve, so to imply that grossly simplified instructions is the direct cause of ruining much cane is an unacceptable allegation -- it's the heavy hand of an awkward inexperienced student with a slightly dull knife which is the most common cause of ruining much cane
