I have experienced this firsthand with the Nielsen reeds I have been using all along. It's true! And you're right about the relaxed embouchure....if it's too tight you go sharp...gotta get those tummy muscles to working and also a very relaxed "throat". I do find, however, you have to be very careful with response...gotta keep that air pressure up!
