Amen. Sometimes techniques we have mastered in the past just go into hiding! Panic is the biggest enemy we face. Vboboe's advice is right on the money. It's not about US; it's about the music. Doing the prep work and practicing letting the music flow out through you will serve you far better than any hasty attempt to "fix" things. Do the practice then do your best to relax. My vibrato is weak to non-existent, but when the chips were down I just tried to relax and play with feeling and it worked well. You can do it!
