.. i'm glad to report my sniffles were dried up enough temporarily by heavy meds to perform our band's 20 minute 'overture' to open a seniors Friday evening dinner-dance, and my few bars solo in one piece, and several bars duet with the trumpet in another piece went well, just one finger flub bar somewhere else ... very happy to say that was nicely bowled over by the saxes :-)

... but today, my 2nd reed's not working the same as it was yesterday afternoon, when it was adjusted a little as a backup reed (pre-wetted just in case, but wasn't actually played) ... yesterday afternoon it played nicely in tune, today it's FLAT ... now that's maddening !
