Short scrape player here, non the less, an oboist! =D

1st day - After tying, i scrape the skin of the corners off which some English players do to release the tension of the cane. I leave it to dry afterwards.

2nd day - I scrape and cut the tip until it plays on the oboe, a nice sound unnecessary.

3rd day - I finish the reed until it is comfortable, further adjusting would usually take another day.
