 Troublesome note on English Horn
Author: JRJINSA

Hi oboists:

Many of the notes on the English Horn are really pretty sounding naturally. However, there is one note that seems to give me a bit of trouble. It's the F (C on oboe) you play with the two index fingers and the side octave key. It's a rather puny note.

Right now I am compensating for it by making a rounder OOO embouchure. Is this note typically troublesome for you all or is it just me? I am interested in hearing your workarounds for this note.

Thank you in advance.

Jay
