Dutchy, the finger flub is in the oboe entrance playing a sextuplet solo well into the second movement (the Largo), not the first movement which as far as I can tell is the only part on youtube. If you have the vade mecum, check it out! It requires some pretty dexterous left hand combined with forked F work..other than that it's a piece of cake! Do you use internet explorer? that worked for me with the link you were having trouble with. As to the politics, the truth is we will only know if it all mattered with hindsight - north korea is a uniquely evil, hermetically sealed society in which the vast majority of the population are little more than orwellian serfs, brainwashed by big brother. Other than that, it's a socialist utopia! Though the North Koreans agreed to broadcast it on NK TV, I wonder how many NKoreans have TVs? And I wonder how Dvorak would have felt? He didn't live long enough to see his beloved country annexed by the Nazis, then kept under the heel of the USSR for many decades. What will bring the north koreans freedom? Maybe the NYPO will have had a bit part, but at most only that IMHO. A great movie I can recommend is From Mao to Mozart, an early '80s documentary of Isaac Stern's trip through a newly reopened China meeting all of the former classical musicians who were thrown out of the cities into forced labor by Mao (another whacko) and were now trying to jumpstart classical music in China..now that's moving! And Liang Wang can thank his lucky stars for that one!
